Campus Utility Vehicle

Brief Overview

Throughout our project on designing and manufacturing a campus utility electric vehicle, we embraced a collaborative and concurrent approach, dividing tasks based on expertise while ensuring seamless communication. From initial concept development through engineering design, prototype development, and refinement, we utilized iterative processes to optimize the vehicle's design and functionality. Our journey was marked by extensive brainstorming, CAD modeling, prototype testing, and continuous improvement. This project not only yielded a functional electric vehicle tailored to campus needs but also imparted invaluable lessons in Designing and Manufacturing , highlighting the importance of teamwork, innovation, and iterative problem-solving.

Inspiration and Previous Journey

Since my childhood, I've been fascinated by cars. I remember playing with toy cars and remote control models, immersing myself in their mechanics and design. This early exposure ignited a passion within me for automotive engineering, leading me to choose it as my field of study. Thus, I embarked on the path of Mechanical Engineering, driven by my love for understanding and creating vehicles.

So I have started with choosing a Rear Auto Engine and Chassis, which I modfied and upgraded into a 4 wheels chassis and made a platform for my vehicle








Final Body Work

I have used FRP material to made the outer body works of the vehicle as it was easy to fabricate and cost effective.

As I entered the Mechanical Engineering department after a year in ash, new opportunities unfolded before me, offering a chance to expand my horizons and upgrade my skills. I became a part of the Society of Automobile Engineers, immersing myself in a community of like-minded individuals passionate about automotive engineering. Additionally, I joined the ATV team, where I contributed to manufacturing and presenting our vehicle in various championships. This experience allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and develop invaluable hands-on skills.

Motivated by the desire to collaborate with like-minded, innovative individuals from diverse engineering backgrounds, I embarked on the journey of forming a new team. Our vision was to create a platform where knowledge sharing and skill enhancement were paramount, fostering a culture of continuous learning and multidisciplinary expertise. Thus, Team Xtreme emerged, comprising passionate individuals eager to push boundaries and explore new frontiers in engineering. Together, we embarked on projects that challenged conventional thinking and leveraged our collective strengths to drive innovation forward.



About Team X-treme:

Team X-treme is an interdisciplinary project club of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, which includes students from different branches of Engineering. It is a platform for students to showcase their ideas and work on it.Team X-treme gives numerous opportunities and work experience to the students. It significantly aims to give goal-oriented problem statements to the students to collect best and out of the box solutions from them."
